The children based in this room are aged approximately two to three years old. Parents can expect a more structured environment than in the baby suite. There is a day routine in place for the children to follow, in preparation for the next move to the pre-school room environment. There will be potty training and toilet visits as deemed appropriate. There will be various activities offered daily. These activities can take place either indoors or outdoors. They include the following:

• Sand/water activities
• Music and movement
• Gluing and sticking/collages
• Painting/mark making activities
• Dressing up and role play
• Large and small construction equipment
• Development of fine motor skills through jigsaws and threading
• Cookery activities
• Gardening
• Singing/rhymes
